Happy New Year from the Triangle Chapter of IMA

Welcoming 2026 and Looking Ahead to Exciting Opportunities

Happy New Year, Triangle Chapter members!

As we welcome 2026, I want to extend my heartfelt wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous year to each of you and your families. The start of a new year is a wonderful time to reflect on our achievements and set our sights on new goals. Here at the Triangle Chapter of the IMA, we remain dedicated to serving our community, advancing the management accounting profession, and supporting every member’s professional journey.

Upcoming Events: February, March, and Beyond

We are thrilled to announce several exciting events to kick off the year:

  • Student Night: Join us on February 26th at Prestonwood Country Club for our Student Night, a fantastic opportunity for students and professionals to connect, share ideas, and celebrate achievements.
  • CPE Event — Ethics Presentation: Mark your calendars for March 11th at The Matthews House in downtown Cary, NC. We’re honored to welcome Joseph Brazel from NC State University, who will be speaking on ethics. This event offers CPE credit and promises to be insightful and impactful.

Registration for both chapter events is now open under the Chapter Events section of our website. We encourage everyone to sign up early and be part of these valuable experiences.

Looking ahead, we’re also excited about the Carolinas Council two-day conference in Charlotte, scheduled for April 16th and 17th. This will be an exceptional opportunity to network with peers from across the region and engage in professional development. More registration information will be available soon—stay tuned!

Our Mission: Serving the Community Together

At the heart of every IMA chapter is a mission to serve both the professional and local communities. We strive to create an inclusive environment where members can thrive, share knowledge, and give back. Whether through educational programs, networking events, or community outreach, our goal is to provide meaningful experiences that empower our members and enrich our region.

Get Involved and Be Heard!

Your participation is vital to our chapter’s success. We encourage all members to join our upcoming events, volunteer, and share your ideas. If you have suggestions, questions, or specific desires for what you would like to see from the Triangle Chapter this year, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Email us anytime to voice your thoughts—we are here to listen and to ensure our chapter continues to serve your needs.

Thank you for being an essential part of our IMA community. Let’s make 2026 a year of growth, collaboration, and achievement—together!

Warm regards,

Catherine M Sabodish
